Yasmina

Yasmina has devoted her life to Middle Eastern dance and promotion of her culture. Yasmina is Ireland's first native authentic teacher to introduce Baladi, Sharqi, folklore of the Egyptian Bellydance forms within a structured class. She established her oriental dance school in 1994 in Dublin, Co Clare, Co Galway and is the first to host top Egyptian master teachers to keep the authenticity of this dance and raise the standard of dance in Ireland. Before that she performed nationwide and is the pioneer in most of Ireland's counties. Known as the Bellydancer on the Zooropa tour of 1993, dancing live on stage with U2 for the song "Mysterious Ways". She appeared in London's Royal Albert Hall in Denis Roussos concert, danced on Hakan Peker's video for the number one hit single in Turkey where she spent some summers as a successful performer. Yasmina is the producer of annual festivals for Egyptian Bellydance, for Tribal Fusion Bellydance and for Miss Bellydance Ireland. She is the first Bollywood teacher in Ireland and her performing troupe is called "Bollywood Spice". In her Dublin show in 2002 she introduced the first tribal Bellydancer from San Francisco. She is one of the first tribal dance teachers in Dublin heading up the tribe "Les Serpentes Mistiques". Yasmina is a master teacher who trained many teachers in Ireland and started many dancers' careers professionally to pass on dance traditions and promote her heritage and culture.
